Weary In Our Warfare, Never

Weary in our warfare, never,
Weary never serving right;
Each New Year shall find us ever
New resolv'd 'gainst wrong to fight.

Though our foes be strong and many,
Armed with Custom's time-wrought mail;
In our ranks shall there be any
Who before such foes shall quail?

Never! all for life have given
Heart and hand to truth's great task!
Drink's vice-brood shall back be driven,
Ere for rest or pause we ask!

Pledged anew this hour for duty,
Pledged for truth to stand or fall!
Manly hearts and maiden beauty,
Pledged anew be one and all.
